Webinar discussion
World regulators have a wide range of safety oversight responsibilities. Under normal conditions, these oversight responsibilities are complex and challenging to ensure safe operations. How is the COVID-19 pandemic affecting these responsibilities? With severe social distancing restrictions, how are regulator personnel affected in carrying out their roles? Are there extra oversight requirements governing airlines and aircraft manufacturers during the current crisis? Has the significant cutback in flights changed the way regulators are operating? What will regulators role be in helping aviation return to normal once the pandemic passes? These and other questions will be answered in an informative webinar hosted by Flight Safety Foundation President and CEO Hassan Shahidi as part of the Foundation’s ongoing International Webinar Series on Managing the COVID-19 Pandemic.
